In a week when Rickie Fowler held on to the No 1 spot for the 14th week, Chris Wood, newly promoted to the England Elite Squad, moved up two places in The R&A's World Amateur Golf Ranking to 20th place after a highly successful season.
The 20-year-old from Long Ashton, Bristol, topped the PING/EGU Order of Merit with victories in the West of England Stroke Play and the Russian Amateur. He was runner-up in the South West Championship and the Tillman Trophy as well as the Gloucestershire Championship. He reached The Amateur Championship quarter-finals, made his full England debut in the Home Internationals and was a member of the three-man team that won the inaugural Portugal Nations Cup.
Two new players joined the Ranking for the first time this week - Rashid Kahn winning the Faldo Series Asia Final and Pipatpong Naewsuk finishing as leading individual in the South-East Asia Games.
