MOVERS AND SHAKERS

Jamie Moul (England) has been No 1 for six weeks and, in the short history of R&A WAGR, takes over the mantle of the most weeks at No 1 from Richie Ramsay.

Rhys Davies (Wales) and Billy Horschel (USA) climb one place to R&A WAGR Numbers 4 & 5 respectively – their highest positions thus far.

There are no entrants into the WAGR Top 20 but one into the Top 50 with Luke List (USA) up 12 places to WAGRanking No 43.

It is all change again this week in the WAGR Top 100.  Three Americans, Charlie Beljan, up 77 places to No 52, Brendon Todd, up 35 to WAGRanking 89, and Michael Schachner, up 18 to No 93=, start to vie for WAGRanking honours, as do South Africans, Reginald Adams, up 90 places to No 77, and newly crowned Northern Open Amateur Champion, Wynand Dingle, up 53 to No 80 – this win cements his place in the (British) Amateur Championship as an exempt player.  Re-entering the Top 100 is Adrien Bernadet (France), up 10 to No 92.

A veritable plethora of potential high WAGRankers enters the R&A WAGR Top 150.  Justin Harding, who rises 108 places to No 108, and Adrian Schwartzel, up 21 to 136, are both South African, and three Americans join them, Jordan Nasser, up 63 at 129, Martin Piller, up 12 to 147, and Drew Stoltz, up 8 to 150.  Three European golfers also enter the R&A WAGR Top 150, Victor Dubuisson (France), up 65 to 111, Scottish Amateur Champion, Kevin McAlpine, up 52 to No 143, and Irishman Jonathan Caldwell, up 106 places to WAGRanking 145.
