Three of this week's winners have made big gains in The R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking. Michael Schachner of the USA, joint winner with Zack Sucher in the SunTrust Gator Invitational at Gainesville, Florida, moves into the top 100 with a 26-place jump to No 84. He finished tied for ninth place in the NCAA Division I Championship last year.
Success in the New South Wales Amateur at Ryde/Parramatta has propelled Michael Raseta of Australia 261 places to No 195 and victory for Jesper Kennegard of Sweden in the UH Hilo Intercollegiate at Waikoloa, Hawaii, pulls him up 210 places to No 239.
Three winners have played their way into the Ranking for the first time - Craig Isabel of England won the Titan Winter Invitational at Melbourne in Florida; Bradley Shigezawa (USA) was the victor in the Pearl Open at Aiea, Hawaii; and Blake Worden (USA) claimed the Dustdevil Early Spring Invitational at Laredo in Texas.
Other successes in week six were by Jacques Blaauw in theSouth African Stroke Play at Pearl Valley; Rohan Blizard in the New South Wales Medal at Pennant Hills/Oatlands; Juan Carlos Cortes in the Abierto Las Brisa de Santo Domingo in Chile; and Borja Etchart in the Campeonato de Barcelona in Spain.
