A top 40 placing in the Sunnehanna Amateur at Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a week after finishing third in the NCAA Division I Championship, has nudged Spain's Jorge Campillo up one place to No 5 in The R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking as Rickie Fowler of the USA holds on to the top position.
In the St Andrews Links Championship a tie for 22nd place was good enough to raise Benjamin Hebert of France 21 places in the Ranking to No 9. Other top-20 moves were made by Zack Sucher (USA), up seven places to No 13 after fourth spot in the Sunnehanna, and Seung Su Han (Korea), up five places to No 19.
Winner of the St Andrews Links event was Scotland's Keir McNicoll, moving him up 37 places to No 87. The event proved to be another stepping stone for Matt Haines of England, who jumped a massive 274 places last week, and continued his rise with another solid performance that brought him into the top 50 with another 67 place stride.
