Cristian Espinoza has jumped almost 200 places to become the only Chilean player in the top-100 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The huge leap up the rankings comes following his victory in the South American Amateur Championship at the Club de Polo y Equitación San Cristóbal in Santiago, Chile's capital city.

Espinoza beat his countryman Matias Dominguez over the course of the 36-hole final, though after going dormie four-up he lost the next two holes to offer Dominguez hope. Yet Espinoza won the 35th hole to complete a 3&1 victory that propels him 199 places up the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Elsewhere in the rankings, New Zealand's Danny Lee remains comfortably in the top spot. Lee has a chance to extend his advantage further this week as he tees up in the Turning Stone Resort Championship on the PGA Tour.
