Dean O’Riley (Benoni Lake) won the Gauteng North Amateur Open Stroke Play held at Woodhill Country Club.  The South African shot a three round total of 202 to win by 2 shots from fellow countryman Erik Van Rooyen (Oudtshoorn).  This performance saw O’Riley move up a significant 36 places and is now WAGRanked 140. 


Elsewhere, Brazil’s Rafael Becker narrowly won the Campeonato Brasiliero Juvenil at Damha Golf Club, Sao Paulo, by one shot from Gustavo Chuang. As a result, Becker has climbed 57 places and now occupies WAGRanking 308.


In Venezuela, Alejandro Garmendia won the Torneo Internacional de Menores in Peru’s capital city, Lima.  This victory propelled Garmendia 239 places to be WAGRanked 1142.  


Completing Week 5’s Roll of Honour in South America was Chile’s Guillermo Pereira who won the Abierto de Granadilla ahead of Juan Carlos Cortes, who lifted the Abierto Rocas de Santo Domingo title last week.  Pereira now ranks at number 721 having jumped up 251 places. 


The WAGR Top 5 remains the same with New Zealand’s Danny Lee at number one.
