  • Mexico’s Marijosse Navarro improves two rankings to ninth on this week’s World Amateur Golf RankingTM with victory in the Dr Donnis Thompson Invitational. 
  • The Texas A&M student returned scores of 70, 70 and 73 for a 3-under-par total of 213 and a one-shot win.

Schaeffner claims second title

  • Germany’s Lena Schaeffner claimed her second college golf title with victory in the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate.
  • The Coastal Carolina student returned a career best 4-under-par 209 to win by a stroke. 
  • She breaks into this week’s top 70, climbing 25 places to 69th.

Yang breaks into top 80

  • Canada’s Jennifer Yang breaks into the top 80 after sharing the Bay Area Intercollegiate with American Esther Lee after they tied on 7-under-par totals of 206.
  • Yang, a student at the University of Washington, climbs 23 rankings to 77th.
  • University of Colorado student Lee jumps 379 places to 641st.

Top 50 movers

  • There are no new faces in this week’s top 20, but three players break into the top 50.
  • American Taylor Totland improves 24 places to 32nd.
  • Maria Parra Luque of Spain and France’s Manon Gidali both rise eight places, Luque to 46th and Gidali to 47th.

Top 100 movers

  • Four players move into the top 100 this week. 
  • American Monica Vaughn advances 30 spots to 71st. Bertine Strauss of South Africa climbs 21 places to 93rd. Victory in the Campeonato de Madrid takes Spain’s Natalia Escuriola Martinez 33 rankings to 97th
  • Slovenia’s Katja Pogacar moves to 99th from last week’s position of 102nd.

Biggest ranking improvement

  • American Emily Gilbreth is the week’s biggest mover with a jump of 568 rankings to world number 1,402.

Shelton moves into top 10

  • Robby Shelton moves into the top 10 of the World Amateur Golf RankingTM with an emphatic win over a strong field in the SH Collegiate Masters. 
  • The University of Alabama student was the only player to return three scores in the 60s – 67, 69 and 65 – in compiling a 15-under-par 201 for a six shot win over John Rahm-Rodriguez of Spain and American Beau Hossler.
  • Shelton advances four places to eighth. 
  • Rahm-Rodriguez remains world number two behind Oliver Schniederjans, while Hossler rises three places to fourth.

Pan strengthens grip on fourth

  • Taipei’s Cheng-tsung Pan strengthens his status as the world’s fourth best amateur after joint victory in the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic. 
  • The University of Washington student shared the title with teammate Corey Pereira after they posted 8-under-par totals of 208. Pereira jumps 14 places to 53rd.

Victory takes Starke into top 90

  • Will Starke recorded his second college golf victory to break into this week’s top 90. 
  • The University of South Carolina player earned a one-shot victory in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate with a 9-under-par 54-hole total of 201. 
  • He climbs 31 places to 87th.

Top 20 movers

  • Americans Brian Campbell and Kyle Jones break into this week’s top 20. 
  • Campbell improves two places to 19th, while Jones becomes the world’s 20th best amateur with a move of four spots.

Top 50 movers

  • England’s Ben Stow is the only new face in this week’s top 50 with a rise of seven places to 44th.

Biggest Ranking improvement

  • Shawn Lu of the United States is this week’s most improved player. 
  • Victory in the Hawaii State Amateur Championship sees Lu jump 1,911 places to world number 3,594.
