At the end of 2015 the ranking will contain events from the last 52 weeks.* After the first week of 2016, the ranking will contain events from the last 53 weeks. After the second week of 2016, the ranking will contain events from the last 54 weeks, etc.

After week 52/2016, WAGRTM will be at a full two years (104 weeks). After week 1/2017, WAGRTM will drop the results from week 2/2015 (104 weeks). After week 2/2017, WAGRTM will drop the results from week 3/2015 (104 weeks), etc.

*WAGRTM uses the iOS calendar standard. In 2015, there are 53 weeks in the iOS calendar. In order to make the two year ranking conversion as seamless as possible, the events from week 1/2015 will be dropped at the end of 2015.

At the end of 2015, the minimum divisor is 28. After the first week of 2016, the minimum divisor is 28.5, that is, increased by 0.5/week. After the second week of 2016, the minimum divisor is 29, etc., until reaching a minimum divisor of 54 in week 52/2016.

Player A has been a ranked player for more than 52 weeks and has 20 divisors at the end of 2015. She does not play for the next several weeks. Her ranking at the end of 2015 is based on 28 divisors. For the first week of 2016, her ranking will be based on 28.5 divisors. For the second week of 2016, her ranking will be based on 29 divisors, etc.

Player B has been a ranked player for more than 52 weeks and has 30 divisors at the end of 2015. He then suffers an injury that keeps him from playing for three months. His ranking at the end of 2015 is based on 30 divisors. His ranking for the first week of 2016 is based on 30 divisors. His ranking for the second week of 2016 is based on 30 divisors, etc. For week 5 of 2016, his ranking will be based on 28 + (half a divisor each week) = 28 + (5 x 0.5) = 28 + 2.5 = 30.5 divisors. For week 6 of 2016, his ranking will be based on 31 divisors, etc.

The minimum divisor for any week in 2016 will be 28 + (2016 week number/2), until reaching 54. For example in week 33, the minimum divisor will be: 28 + 33/2 = 28 + 16.5 = 44.5.

Player C became ranked during week 40 of 2015. For her first 52 weeks in the ranking, her minimum divisor will be 28. For week 41 of 2016, her minimum divisor will be 28.5. For week 42 of 2016, her minimum divisor will be 29, etc., until reaching 54.

Player D becomes newly ranked during week 10 of 2016. For his first 52 weeks in the ranking, his minimum divisor will be 28. For week 11 of 2017, his minimum divisor will be 28.5.  For week 12 of 2017, his minimum divisor will be 29, etc., until reaching 54.
